Shirley entered the real estate profession with the same energy and enthusiasm she exhibited as a professional educator for over 34 years. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Administration and served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, District Vocational Director, District Special Projects Coordinator, South Carolina Department of Education administrator, SC Vocational Industrial Clubs of America Director and a USDA Consultant for the Egyptian Government helping establish and develop curriculum for Egypt’s vocational programs.
She attended Fortune Academy and completed course work to become a certified realtor for South Carolina and North Carolina. Shirley recently earned her Brokers designation for both states. She completed the Realtor’s Fast Start Program, the Floyd Wickman S.M.A.R.T. Program: Selling Skills, Mentor Groups, Attitude, Referral Relationships and Time Management, the Floyd Wickman Master Sales Professional Society Program, earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR*) designation, and the Cartus Network Referral Specialist Designation.
Just as Shirley was active in all her educational professional associations, she has joined and become dedicated to the goals of the Grand Strand Board of Realtors, the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She continues to be active in community organizations such Habitat for Humanity, United Way and the Sunshine Animal Haven.
